All Employees Working In And Outside The Plant Are Trained In The Proper Way To Handle Customers Laundry:
- Coats are picked up in proper linen bags and laundered by a commercial laundry service in compliance with OSHA regulations.
- CDC advocates use of 160 degree water temperature for at least 25 min. wash to ensure all bacteria forms are eliminated. We at Sure – Fit Laundry know this practice is crucial to ensure your laundries are not contaminated.
- Soiled linen bagged in manner to prevent soak through
- Personnel know their responsibilities in bagging and handling linens
Sure-Fit Laundry has a Bio-hazardous Pak Service for those customers, which may come in contact with blood-borne pathogens or other bio-hazardous material.
Our service provides a fluid resistant bio-hazardous bag clearly marked. Items, which may contact bio-hazardous material, are to be placed in these bags. Trained personnel under Universal Precautions as potentially infectious handle the items placed in these bags in compliance with OSHA’S standards.
Note: All incoming laundry is handled with universal precautions, whether in bio-bag or standard nylon bags.
PLEASE BE REMINDED THAT SHARPS ARE NOT TO BE PLACED IN ANY LAUNDRY BAGS. PERSONNEL AT YOUR FACILITY MUST PLACE SHARPS IN THE PROPER CONTAINERS.
